Pistole für Jäger

The subject of handguns is often briefly covered in hunting training and is practiced very little. However, handguns are not the first choice and are not primarily used in any type of hunting. Handguns are only intended for the finishing shot and are therefore used at very short or close distances. This purpose is therefore the focus of the course.

The handgun course for hunters includes a complete refresher and introduction to the pistol weapon system. During the joint training, participants learn not only how to handle the pistol safely, but also how to shoot quickly and accurately. The training is therefore not only static, but also dynamic, using various realistic scenarios.

Equipment required:

• Curiosity and willingness to learn

• Eye and hearing protection (optical glasses are sufficient)

• Firearms permit

• Own pistol with holster on the firing hand side with concealed trigger
(It is not possible to take part in the course without a suitable holster!)

• At least two spare magazines, preferably with holster

• 250 rounds of ammunition

• Safety rules for handling firearms

• The basic skills of shooting

• Working with the holster, correct posture (natural point of aim), stable
Grip technique, trigger control

• Loading and reloading activities

• Troubleshooting

• Shot pattern evaluation, error analysis

• All-round view and movement with the weapon

• Equipment advice for your hunting handgun

• Instructions for cleaning and maintenance
