Course overview

This course is the second part after the course “Low Light – Theory and Practice “dry” (Part 1)”

This practical course covers the safe and effective use of firearms in conjunction with a flashlight in low light and darkness. You will practice using the flashlight as a tactical tool and apply valuable techniques for searching urban and non-urban environments.

The course is aimed at police and security forces who need to react quickly and precisely in dangerous situations in the dark and at hunters who need to conduct a search in poor lighting conditions and darkness.

Requirement:
Participation in the practical course: Low Light – theory and practice “dry” (Part 1)

Required equipment

• Curiosity and willingness to learn

• Own flashlight

• Eye and hearing protection (optical glasses are sufficient)

• Firearms permit / service ID

• Own pistol with holster on the firing hand side with concealed trigger
(It is not possible to take part in the course without a suitable holster!)

• At least one spare magazine, preferably with holster

• 150 rounds of ammunition

• Safety rules for handling firearms

• Short review on darkness and eyesight

• Dangers and benefits of using flashlights

• Moving with light without revealing the exact location

• Communication

• Shooting practice with flashlights in different positions
