PumIR

The modular talent:

  • Can be used as a clip-on and standalone
  • Long range thanks to the additional lens with a detection range of up to 4000m
  • various interfaces for accessories
  • .5 variant for highly magnifying optics
  • 1-8x digital zoom
  • AI upscaling
  • Sub Pixel Collimation (SPC)
  • 10cm, 300g

With a weight of approximately 300g and a length of about 10cm, the PumIR is no larger than a beverage can, making it significantly smaller than the TigIR. However, when combined with the appropriate attachment lens, it offers a 30% higher detection range of 4000m. This Long-Range combination in such a compact form factor is globally unique within its weight class. The low profile allows for use with tactical scopes that can be equipped with an additional reflex sight (e.g., LPVOS, ELCAN Specter, Trijicon 4x32 ACOG with RMA). Alternatively, a backup sight, such as the ACRO from Aimpoint, can be mounted directly on the PumIR using an interface on the top of the housing. Of course, the PumIR series also incorporates all the popular features of thermal imaging devices developed by Andres Industries. We would be happy to provide information about civilian and law enforcement versions.

PumIR™-M series

The PumIR-M was developed for military and government users, who can mount the device directly on firearms (STANAG rail) using the particularly repeatable ERATAC mounting. With the different tripod rails, the device can be adjusted to different optical axis heights. We also produce special versions upon customer request. The M versions of our PumIR series also have an integrated reticle. This means that the device can be used directly as a thermal imaging target even without a rifle scope. Military users particularly appreciate the advantages of the PUMIR-M.5, as tactical optics with 4x magnification can be used with a full viewing angle. The tripod rails are also used to attach to tripods when the PumIR is used as a stationary observation device.

.5 variants

"Why is the image in my attachment so blurry?" They have powerful optics and the best attachment in the world. But if you combine the two together, is the image pixelated and blurry? Then they are not properly coordinated with each other. With the PumIR we have a solution to this problem for the first time. Both the civilian and government versions are available with reducing eyepiece optics. This allows the use of rifle scopes that have a higher magnification than the recommended 2x magnification. This means that even with rifle scopes with a 3-4x magnification, the entire image can still be seen. It should be noted that collimation, i.e. zeroing in the weapon with the PumIR.5, is absolutely necessary.

PumIR Afocal Lens

The PumIR lens cover can be replaced with a 2x afocal lens, extending the detection range to up to 4000m. The PumIR automatically recognizes the lens and retrieves the collimation information for the lens from the memory. This means that the PumIR doesn't require recalibration after attaching the afocal lens. The automatic on and off function also works with the cover of the afocal lens.

Combination with reflex sights

New to the PumIR is the top platform for special accessory options. This enables the use of rifle scopes with an attached backup reflex sight. Alternatively, a microvisor, e.g. B. the ACRO series from Aimpoint, can be attached using the adapter plate (see p. 35).
