Berlin-based Andres Industries AG has taken over the distribution of Theon International night vision products to government agencies and civilians in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland). This includes the Mikron-D, a particularly compact night vision goggle with 16mm tubes and a field of view (FOM) of at least 2200, which will soon be deployed across the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) in a cross-sectional rollout of 100,000 units. Unlike many other suppliers for the civilian market, Andres Industries does not use decommissioned ECHO tubes, but rather the same 4G-MIL-Spec tubes supplied to the Bundeswehr. Due to current increased production, Andres Industries can offer the binocular goggle, with its remarkably low weight of 415g (including battery), at a very competitive price.
The NYX, another goggle model used by special forces units like the KSK and the US Marines, is now available in Berlin from Andres Industries for hunters and other civilian users. It utilizes two 18mm 4G tubes with 2200 FOM, resulting in even higher image resolution. This goggle also benefits from the large production volumes of the ongoing series production, which contributes to its competitive price.
For users interested in fusion technology, the Iris-C is a clip-on thermal imaging device with an augmented reality option that can be connected to the battle management system. The Iris-C was primarily developed for use with Theon devices, but according to the manufacturer, it can also be used with various devices from other manufacturers.
