The topic of sustainability has now become an elementary part of modern corporate culture - also in the areas of security and defense. Talking about it is one thing, but we would like to take the next step in this regard and, as part of an initiative by the BDSV - Federal Association of the German Security and Defense Industry, we have had ourselves certified by the world's largest provider of sustainability rankings, EcoVadis.
The EcoVadis rating covers a wide range of non-financial management systems of companies. These include the effects of the environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. Each company is evaluated on the topics that are relevant to its size, location and industry.
Due to our high score of 56 points, we were awarded the silver medal and are therefore one of the 25% of the best-rated companies.
But here too there is still room for improvement. We will continue to work on optimizing our corporate structures in order to be able to make an even greater contribution in these areas. As everywhere else, the same applies here: safety is the mother of all sustainability.
